PillJogger PillJogger is a full featured mobile medical adherence application backed by a server-based platform for exchanging medical information, incentives, and content. Additionally, the platform provides for commercial opportunities between consumers, sponsors and medical providers. The platform is primarily designed for prescription drugs but is adaptable for diabetes, blood pressure maintenance, dietary suppplements, non prescription medications, weight control and exercise. PillJogger was founded by a physician to address the abysmal medication adherence rates which are well described: the World Health Organization reports only 50% of adults take medicine as prescribed. Additionally, with 75% of adult Americans on at least one prescribed pharmaceutical and up to 90% not fully adherent, hundreds of billions of dollars are wasted on unnecessary physician visits, hospitalizations and morbidity related expenses.
