Neema directs the Stanford Calming Technology Lab. He is currently teaching “d.compress: Designing Calm” at the Stanford d.school.
He is also director of research & development at bLife, which is creating the world’s first personal wellbeing service.
Neema is an expert on the techniques and approaches to designing technologies that create calm states in physiology, affect, and cognition for well being, performance, health, and contemplation. Prior to Stanford, he was a researcher with Microsoft Research Asia in Beijing, where he invented Microsoft Mouse Mischief and a number of other patents and publications.
